A New Home in Historic Downtown Nogales for Santa Cruz Valley Democrats
Located in the heart of historic downtown Nogales, just 1.5 blocks from the DeConcini Port of Entry, our Party Office moved into the larger space adjacent to our original location after a decade. Our HQ sits within the historic A.S. Noon building, a landmark of Chicago School architecture — a fitting home in a county with deep progressive roots, from the Buffalo Soldiers stationed at Camp Little to jazz legend Charles Mingus, born and raised right here in Santa Cruz County. When next downtown, take a look at the mural on Arroyo Street.
Building a True Community Space
This move is inspired by former Chair Harrison's Dirt Road Organizing Framework, which holds that local party offices in rural areas could function as community centers — places where neighbors can get help navigating government services, accessing healthcare resources, and understanding local utility issues. We believe this new space can be exactly that: a resource for our community, not just our party activities.
Get Involved
This space is serving as a hub for intern skill-building, voter protection briefings, candidate materials, team building meeting space and election activities. Whether you have an hour or an ongoing interest, there's a place for you here: stop by and say hello, sign up to volunteer and/or Donate to support the cost of the space.
