wHAT TIME DO VOTING CENTERS OPEN IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY?

The vote centers open on Election Day (Tuesday November 8) at 6:00 am and close at 7:00 pm

what happens if i am late to arrive at the vote center?

Any qualified voter who at 7:00 pm is in the line of waiting voters will be allowed to prepare and cast his or her ballot. If it is after 7:00pm you will not be able to vote.

can i vote before november 8?

  • You may request an early ballot up to 90 days before the election by calling the Santa Cruz County Recorder's Office at (520) 375-7924. The last day to request an Early Ballot is Friday, October 28, 2022.

  • You can also vote an early ballot in person at the Santa Cruz County Recorder's office from 8:00am to 5:00pm; Monday through Friday, starting October 12, 2022 until November 4, 2022.

  • You have signed up to receive your ballot by mail, you can vote your ballot and drop it off at a nearby ballot dropbox.

When is it too late to turn in my ballot?

In order to be valid and counted, the ballot and affidavit must be delivered to the office of the county recorder or other officer in charge of elections or may be deposited at any vote center in the county no later than 7:00pm on election day, November 2, 2022.

Also remember that there is ballot drop boxes around the county.
